3 things I learned in the last 3 years

These are 3 important topics that I learned over the last 3 years through lots of of study of the Word of God, devotion, trustworthy teachings and my time at BSSM.
There is a lot more to it and I’m not an expert in theology and so forth. I’m mainly a soul-winner. But open up your heart to receive what I’m about to share.
Feel free to let me know how it impacted you.

SONSHIP. Because of the cleansing power of the blood of Jesus, I can enjoy the same fellowship, rights and privileges in my relationship with my heavenly father just as Jesus did when He walked the earth. I believe sonship is a journey. We begin to understand more and more how good God is and as a result of that we will begin to live the Christian life that God has intended for us to have.
When Adam was created in the garden of Eden 1,000′s of years ago, he actually enjoyed a spiritual fellowship with God. Why, because God is a spirit. When he committed high treason and sinned against God by eating from the forbidden tree, he was driven away from the presence of God and became partaker of satan’s nature.
Now God’s master plan was to send Jesus and to identify Him with sin by making him the substitute for all sins of humanity. That was possible because Jesus didn’t have a sin-nature. He was actually immortal, just as Adam before the fall, the only reason why He died was because He chose to do so:
John 10:17-18 (NKJV)
“ Therefore My Father loves Me, because I lay down My life that I may take it again. 18 No one takes it from Me, but I lay it down of Myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This command I have received from My Father.”
Jesus suffered the full penalty of sin, including the torments in the garden of getsehmane, the horrible death on the cross, and going to hell so that you and I don’t have to suffer torment and punishment. An exchange of spiritual identity took place. He rose from the dead victoriously, having totally defeated the kingdom of darkness.
2 Corinthians 5:21 (NKJV)
“For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.”
Colossians 2:13-15 (NKJV)
“And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses, 14 having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. 15 Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it.”

You will get free from sin the more you grasp the full extent of His suffering and victory, even though it cannot be fully comprehended in someone’s mind.
It has to do with faith in Jesus.
Hebrews 12:2 (NKJV)
“looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.”

Why do I share all this? Because being a child of God is all about having a spiritual fellowship with God.
The ability to be again led by the Spirit of God is what makes you a child of God.
Romans 8:14 (NKJV)
“For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.”
The Holy Spirit leads the (now divine, recreated spirit) spirit of a man or a woman.
John 4:24 (NKJV)
“God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”

It doesn’t say anywhere that those who feel the presence of God are children of God. Don’t get me wrong, I had in the last years some of the most outstanding encounters with God that I’ve ever heard of, including dreams, visions, or even outer body experiences and watched God making the blind see, the deaf hear and the lame walk.
But I don’t live by those experiences. I live by faith. I live by the truth.
John 8:31-32 (NKJV)
31 “Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “ If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. 32 And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”

I’m a son of God because God chose to do so. I don’t have to apologize for it or constantly remind God of how unworthy I am. Understanding sonship removes the inferiority-complex that so many Christians have, they don’t see themselves as a new creation and therefore they live like spiritual dwarves. The gospel is so powerful and if we would understand what Jesus meant when He said that those who believe in HIM will have eternal life, we would never be the same. I was restored to my Heavenly Father, and nothing can separate me from His great love.
Romans 8:38-39 (NKJV)
“For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, 39 nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

I believe there can be 2 main reasons why a child of God has no joy, peace or has a hard time. They have either broken fellowship with God or they don’t understand their rights and privileges that they have in Christ.

God is right here. He will forgive every sin and He can teach anyone how to walk like Jesus.

RIGHTEOUSNESS. Jesus was made sin, identified with it and suffered ALL of it, so that I can be the righteousness of God. That makes me an absolute master of demons and the kingdom of darkness. If they come against me I will put them back into their place.

02This is when God teaches us how to use His authority. I refuse to be sick. I refuse to sorrow. I refuse to worry and I refuse to doubt just as much as I refuse to sin.
There is a fear of the Lord attached to it. He is actually more fearful than the devil and at the same time He is very loving and gentle. I don’t know how that works but I’ve experienced both.
Be careful that you do not deceive yourself. You cannot walk in the authority and anointing of God if you there is offense between you and God. If you are not right with God and want to confront the kingdom of darkness, devils will make fun of you without you even realizing it.
But praise be to God, if we walk in the light just as Jesus walked in the light we have authority over the enemy.

King Richard the lion-hearted was so successful in defending England that his record was one of continual victory. One time however, he was outmatched on the battle field as combined powers of other European nations came against him.
The king had a very loyal servant who always rode by his side and was thrilled by the exploits of his king in conquest after conquest.

In this particular battle the odds where so overwhelming, that for the first time in his brilliant career, King Richard, the lion-hearted sounded a retreat. This was an overwhelming sight to his servant.

As the servant ran his horse with King Richard, he remembered battle after battle where the King had so gallantly led the English army to astonishing victory. Now it was a small, dismal, frustrating defeat.

To conceive of King Richard the lion-hearted being defeated was more than the trusted servant could endure. So, the story is told, the servant raced his horse right next to the King and shouted in his ear, “King Richard, remember who you are!”

These words penetrated the King’s heart and suddenly he gave the command to his bugler to sound a halt to the retreat. Then, in a bit of bold strategy, the command was given to “advance and conquer.”

According to history, this was the experience that turned back the combined armies that day when King Richard the lion-hearted suddenly was compelled to remember who he was – a mighty conquerer, a King who had never known or accepted defeat.

Sometimes reason will try to take the place of revelation. In times when everything seems like we are about to loose the battle, we need those around us who remind us of who we are and what God placed inside of us. And watch out, it might not be those who always affirm you with their lips, it’s the ones who have been riding besides you and observed you with great joy and without jealousy in your greatest exploits.

When the devil tries to stop us, the command is given to “advance and conquer.” When people try to stop us, the command is given to “advance and conquer.” When everything around us falls in pieces and it seems we are about to loose the battle, it is than that our foundation that we built for years with The Lord in the prayer closet will be proofed and we will have the wisdom that’s needed to advance and conquer.

If you fail The Lord, you repent, make sure that there is no offense between you and The Lord and get back up. He will never leave you nor forsake you. If you have sinned you violated the commandment of love that Christ gave us. If you repent and get back into fellowship with the Master, it is as if it never occurred.

The apostle Paul got saved on the road to Damascus when he encountered Jesus. And later he said look up scripture “Ive wronged no man, Ive defrauded no man…” (2. Cor. 7:2)
Why? Because he was not just a forgiven sinner. He was made a saint in a moment and forgot about his past.
Now you have to understand that he killed Christians.
The key to his boldness was that he knew he stands without a sense of inferiority or condemnation in the presence of The Lord. Now, we are here because of the lost. Let me say this, anyone who doesn’t understand that the main concern on Gods heart is the salvation of mankind, is seriously deceived.
If we wanna reach the lost, we need boldness that is birthed by the spirit. We get it in the presence of God. He will remind us of who is in us, it is Christ Jesus – the anointed one who cannot be defeated.

PURPOSE. If I don’t preach the gospel, people will go to an eternal hell, where they suffer never-ending torture, punishment and unquenchable flames. Jesus paid the immense price for all of humanity so that legally everyone is reconciled. Humanity must receive Jesus personally and follow Him in order to be saved.
An increasing number of believers who believe in universal reconciliation grasp only the legal side of it. But as a matter of fact salvation doesn’t become a reality in a persons life until that person confesses Jesus as lord and receives Him as personal lord and savior. The word of God clearly declares in John 1:12-13 (NKJV)
“But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name:13 who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.”

We need to be passionate about the lost. If we would truly understand that we have received Eternal life, we would wish that everyone has it.
2 Corinthians 5:20 (NKJV)
“Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us:we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God.”

A couple weeks ago I was on my way to do a workout in a park close to my house. On the other side of the street I saw an elderly woman. As soon as I looked at her I saw flames behind her. Those were actually the flames of hell. I told her that Jesus loves her but she didn’t wanna her anything about it. My heart broke.

As I was growing up my parents had a lot of work to do at home, so a certain woman with the name Kathi looked after me a lot. Some would even say that she raised me up.

I haven’t thought of her in years as a young adult. Several months ago The Lord spoke to me that He wants me to witness to her. I was very busy at that time and forgot about it. Shortly afterwards I hear a report that she died. I was reminded that The Lord wanted me to witness to hear. I went into my room, weeping and wailing, totally broken before God. My world fell apart. I cried out to God to forgive me but I honestly thought that He won’t use me anymore in ways like that.
I felt the hand of God come upon me, in His mercy and grace. He restored me and I led many, many people to Jesus since then.

May God grant us grace to never be disobedient again. Obeying God is the greatest joy and will give you the greatest sense of satisfaction.

Whenever it is hard for you to witness to someone, I would like to encourage you to do this: picture the person on the edge of a cliff of a bottom-less pit. Because that’s where everyone is who doesn’t know Jesus, standing on the edge of a cliff of a bottom-less pit. All of a sudden you will find it easier.
Now, Jesus came to rescue people. This is not about some trivia. It’s about eternity. There is no time in eternity, time was actually created by God. So one day some people will be forever with God, and some others will be forever with the devil, getting tortured over and over again. Let’s not be fooled. I’m not trying to put pressure on anyone. If you feel pressure, then it’s not because of what I said in the first place, it’s fear inside of you that has not been casted out yet with the love of Christ – you will have to deal with it before God. Ask Him for boldness. Ask Him to show you who He is and who you are. Then live by faith, always being conscious of God’s love for you.
God bless you

Thank you for your prayers for my travels to promote the gospel of Jesus Christ until the knowledge of the glory of the Lord covers the earth as the waters cover the sea.
